Welcome to Basketball Crusaders Venlo
History
Venlo Sport was officially founded on June 22, 1973. Unofficially, the association had existed longer. It was founded as General Sports Association Venlo Sport. In the early years, volleyball, baseball and softball were played in addition to basketball. At some point the baseball and softball departments continued as independent associations. In 1983 the name was officially changed to “Basketbalvereniging Venlo Sport”. In 1991, the name Crusaders was added. The association celebrated its 50th anniversary in June 2023! To get more publicity for our beloved sport, we changed our name to Basketball Crusaders Venlo. So that everyone knows we are a basketball club.
Volunteers
Our club runs entirely on volunteers. Even non-members, such as parents and caregivers, can perform volunteer tasks. In fact, we desperately need them! The more volunteers, the better we can divide the tasks. And of course it's fun to be involved in the club in this way.
